Our very first handmade artist of the week is Shannon Hahn, who aims to create “cute but ugly” toys. Inspired by a Christmas book, she set out to make one-of-a-kind, handmade characters. Here is a short description from her site:
“The toys looks like Japanese animated characters – they are brightly colored, come in all kinds of unimaginable shapes and sizes and are both terribly cute and endearingly ugly all at the same time!”
